Federal Reporting and Compliance Bureau
Federal Reporting and Compliance Bureau
The Federal Reporting and Compliance Bureau provides statewide leadership and technical support to help ensure New Mexico administers federal funds accurately, transparently, and in full compliance with federal award requirements.
The Bureau partners with state agencies throughout the federal award lifecycle—providing guidance on grant administration, budget development and management, accounting, and drawdown processes; supporting the preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA); coordinating statewide Single Audit activities; and overseeing key statewide functions such as the Statewide Cost Allocation Plan (SWCAP). Through training, resources, and targeted technical assistance, the Bureau promotes consistent, compliant reporting practices that strengthen accountability and enhance stewardship of federal resources across New Mexico state government.
