The New Mexico 911 Bureau, within the Department of Finance and Administration's Local Government Division, administers and supports New Mexico's statewide 911 program.
The Bureau works with local governments, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), telecommunications providers, technology partners and other public safety stakeholders to support the infrastructure, technology, data and resources necessary to provide reliable 911 service throughout New Mexico.
New Mexico's 911 system is a shared state and local responsibility. The NM 911 Bureau provides statewide coordination, funding assistance, technical oversight and program support while local PSAPs remain responsible for the day-to-day delivery of emergency communications to their communities.

The New Mexico 911 (NM911) Program provides fiscal and technical program support to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and Local Governments through communication, collaboration and customer service to enable an effective and quality 911 system.
