Mission

The Legislative Grant Management Bureau (LGMB) supports New Mexico's communities by ensuring the effective, transparent, and accountable management of state and federal grant investments. The Bureau partners with local governments and eligible entities to deliver funding for critical infrastructure, public facilities, economic development, housing, and quality of life initiatives.

LGMB administers capital outlay appropriations authorized by the New Mexico Legislature and approved by the Governor, as well as special project funding established through House Bill 2 (HB2). The Bureau develops program guidance, executes grant agreements, and oversees project implementation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and alignment with statewide priorities.

Through technical assistance, financial oversight, and performance monitoring, LGMB helps communities successfully plan, implement, and complete projects that deliver meaningful and lasting public benefit across New Mexico.
