The Federal Award Administration unit at DFA supports the full lifecycle of federal funding for state, tribal, and local entities across New Mexico.
Our Federal Grants Bureau builds capacity by tracking federal grant opportunities, guiding agencies through application processes, including SPOC/EO 12372 coordination via the NM Federal Funds Clearinghouse, and assisting with compliance reviews and agency-based grant accounting.
The Federal Reporting & Compliance Bureau provides centralized leadership in administering and monitoring federal awards. This includes federal grant accounting, SEFA preparation, audit support, SWCAP oversight, and technical assistance.
Together, these teams help ensure grant applications are strong, awards are properly tracked and administered, and federal compliance requirements are met, strengthening DFA’s accountability across the federal grant ecosystem.
