Fiscal Year 2028 State Agency Budget Requests
About the SBD 2028 Transparency Initiative
The State Budget Division (SBD) of the Department of Finance and Administration is committed to promoting transparency by making Fiscal Year 2028 budget requests from state agencies available to the public.
State agencies submit budget requests to both SBD and the Legislative Finance Committee (LFC) annually, with the deadline this year being September 1, 2026. The SBD has reviewed all submissions for technical accuracy, and both executive and legislative teams will use these requests to develop budget recommendations for the 2027 Legislative Session.
Please note that budget requests from higher education institutions, which have an FY27 general fund budget of $1.34 billion, will be submitted later this fall.
